
At the end of 2006, the Center received commission from Mr. Oien, a Norwegian sculptor, the former Chairman of Norwegian Sculptors’ Association, to make granite components of an industrial monument in Drammen. Our work is to carve an industrial wheel with a diameter of 320 x 160 x 100 cm in red and black granite. It took about 6 six months from seeking for the right stones, cutting in forms, carving, polishing, finishing and then shipping the sculpture to Norway. Other parts of the monument including metal work and foundation were finished in Norway at the end of 2007. In January 2008, the whole monument was set up by the Drammen river with a remarkable opening
