On 24 May 2010, H.E. Mr. Stale Torstein Risa, the Norwegian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam had a field visit to the Danang Sculpture Foundation, the result of a typical project of cultural cooperation between Norway and Vietnam.

At the meeting, the Foundation introduced its achievements, the transmission from a training project for stone carvers donated by the Norwegian government to a self – financed non – profit, non – governmental foundation with the main goals of developing sculpture in Danang and Vietnam and fostering cultural exchange in sculpturing within Vietnam and internationally.

After the meeting, the Embassy’s delegation visited the sculpture park on the east bank of Han river, the result of the first Norwegian – Vietnamese Sculpture Symposium 2006 which was implemented by the Danang Sculpture Project in the cooperation with the Danang Union of Literature and Arts Associations and the Fine Arts Association with the donation of the Norwegian Embassy and the Danang People’s Committee.
