From 10 to 20/11/2010, Danang Sculpture Foundation coordinated with the Danang Union of Literature and Arts Associations and Fine Arts Association to hold the Danang Sculpture Camp 2010 at the Foundation’s workshop for local sculptors. 11 sculptors leading by Mr. Luu Danh Thanh, Deputy Chairman of the National Sculpture Board of Vietnam’s Fine Arts Association and other 2 sculptors from Hanoi, 1 from Hue city, 1 from Quang Nam province and 6 in Danang) participated the camp. 

The main purposes of the Camp is to create opportunities for local sculptors to create good quality sketches which can be selected and developed into public outdoor sculptures for the city. The camp provides an opportunity for sculptors to learn new skills and exchange knowledge and also contributes to the development of the city’s art. At the same time, through its activities, the camp may attracts more attention from the public and the local government to invest in and develop the art of sculpture in Danang.

After 10 hard and enthusiastic working days, 11 authors completed 19 sketches with different styles and topic such as  sea, love, human condition, of which 12 sketches  of good quality evaluated by the Art Council.
