The Venus of Arles, depicts the Goddess of Love, Venus (also known as Aphrodite) holding the apple of discord in her right hand in the classic Greek-Roman style. The origin is a 1.94-metre-high (6.4 ft) sculpture of Venus at the Musée du Louvre, dated to the end of the 1st century BC. It may be a copy of the Aphrodite of Thespiae by Praxiteles.
