\tAgainst the background of the setting sun, throbbing activity of the Han River, the locals enjoying the esplanade with the flocks of birds flying overhead, 12 beautiful sculptures were handed over to the city of Da Nang for beautification of the esplanade by the Han River.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Kjell Storlokken sent a speech which was read by Ms Liv Steimoeggen, Representative from Nordic Assistance to Vietnam (NAV)<\/p>\n

\n\t\"Hand<\/p>\n

\n\tVice Chairman, Ms Nong Thi Ngoc Minh, People's Committee of Da Nang (DNPC) emphasized the multifaceted cooperative and friendly relationship of Norway and Vietnam.<\/p>\n

\n\t\"Hand<\/p>\n

\n\t9 of these sculptures were made during the Sculpture Symposium which took place from 15th February to 29th March 2006 and was organised jointly by DSP, LAU and FAA of Da Nang. This Symposium was partially by NORAD (Norwegian Agency of Development Aid). 3 sculptors from Norway were brought together 6 local sculptors to work together with the trainees of DSP to create these artworks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\t4) “Protrait of Phan Chau Trinh” by Mr. Pham Van Hang
\n\t5) “All-Out Attempt” \/”Mat Va Con” by Mr Nguyen Hien
\n\t6) “Life Current” by Mr Phan Gai Huong
\n\t7) “Mountain Girl” \/ “Son Nu” by Mr Tran Tuy
\n\t8) “Nhung Khoang Trong” by Mr Vu Ngoc Thanh
\n\t9) “Bare Heart”\/ “Giao Duyen” by Nguyen Long Buu<\/p>\n

\tFollowing are the remainder 3 sculptures made by DSP and presented to Danang City in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Liberation of Danang City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
