K\u1ebf th\u1eeba nh\u1eefng th\u00e0nh qu\u1ea3 n\u00e0y, n\u0103m 2009, sau khi k\u1ebft th\u00fac d\u1ef1 \u00e1n, Qu\u1ef9 \u0110i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c Li\u00ean hi\u1ec7p c\u00e1c H\u1ed9i V\u0103n h\u1ecdc-Ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng v\u00e0 H\u1ed9i M\u1ef9 thu\u1eadt th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng \u0111\u1ed3ng s\u00e1ng l\u1eadp. \u0110\u00e2y l\u00e0 qu\u1ef9 phi l\u1ee3i nhu\u1eadn v\u1ec1 ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111\u1ea7u ti\u00ean \u1edf Vi\u1ec7t Nam ho\u1ea1t \u0111\u1ed9ng v\u00ec s\u1ef1 ph\u00e1t tri\u1ec3n ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc. M\u1ee5c ti\u00eau c\u1ee7a Qu\u1ef9 l\u00e0 ph\u00e1t tri\u1ec3n ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc c\u1ee7a \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, th\u00fac \u0111\u1ea9y c\u00e1c ho\u1ea1t \u0111\u1ed9ng giao l\u01b0u v\u0103n h\u00f3a, ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc trong n\u01b0\u1edbc v\u00e0 n\u01b0\u1edbc ngo\u00e0i tham gia c\u00e1c ho\u1ea1t \u0111\u1ed9ng x\u00e3 h\u1ed9i, t\u1eeb thi\u1ec7n v\u00e0 t\u00e0i tr\u1ee3, b\u1ea3o tr\u1ee3, khen th\u01b0\u1edfng c\u00e1c ho\u1ea1t \u0111\u1ed9ng s\u00e1ng t\u00e1c, nghi\u00ean c\u1ee9u, ph\u00e1t tri\u1ec3n ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc.<\/p>

Ngh\u1ec7 s\u0129 Nh\u00e2n d\u00e2n Hu\u1ef3nh V\u0103n H\u00f9ng, nguy\u00ean Gi\u00e1m \u0111\u1ed1c S\u1edf V\u0103n h\u00f3a, Th\u1ec3 thao th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng cho bi\u1ebft: D\u1ef1 \u00e1n \u0110i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng (nay l\u00e0 Qu\u1ef9 \u0110i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng) mang l\u1ea1i nhi\u1ec1u gi\u00e1 tr\u1ecb r\u1ea5t \u00fd ngh\u0129a cho ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc. V\u00e0 vai tr\u00f2 c\u1ee7a nh\u00e0 \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc Storbaekken l\u00e0 \u0111\u1eb7c bi\u1ec7t quan tr\u1ecdng. \u00d4ng \u0111\u00e3 mang \u0111\u1ebfn cho \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng m\u1ed9t l\u00e0n gi\u00f3 m\u1edbi, lan t\u1ecfa nh\u1eefng quan \u0111i\u1ec3m v\u1ec1 gi\u00e1 tr\u1ecb m\u1ef9 h\u1ecdc hi\u1ec7n \u0111\u1ea1i trong l\u0129nh v\u1ef1c \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc th\u00f4ng qua vi\u1ec7c m\u1edf \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c nhi\u1ec1u kh\u00f3a \u0111\u00e0o t\u1ea1o th\u1ee3 \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc l\u00e0nh ngh\u1ec1, m\u00e0 hi\u1ec7n nay nhi\u1ec1u ng\u01b0\u1eddi trong s\u1ed1 \u0111\u00f3 \u0111\u00e3 tr\u1edf th\u00e0nh ngh\u1ec7 nh\u00e2n \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0111\u00e1. T\u1eeb nh\u1eefng b\u01b0\u1edbc kh\u1edfi \u0111\u1ea7u, v\u1edbi s\u1ef1 h\u1ed7 tr\u1ee3 t\u1eeb ch\u00ednh quy\u1ec1n th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, \u0111\u1ebfn nay, Qu\u1ef9 \u0110i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng \u0111\u00e3 \u0111em l\u1ea1i r\u1ea5t nhi\u1ec1u gi\u00e1 tr\u1ecb. M\u1ed9t v\u01b0\u1eddn t\u01b0\u1ee3ng ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0111\u01b0\u1ee3c Qu\u1ef9 trao t\u1eb7ng \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng sau tr\u1ea1i s\u00e1ng t\u00e1c \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc qu\u1ed1c t\u1ebf n\u0103m 2006. N\u0103m 2018, Qu\u1ef9 ti\u1ebfp t\u1ee5c trao t\u1eb7ng th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng hai t\u01b0\u1ee3ng m\u1ef9 thu\u1eadt “S\u00f3ng bi\u1ec3n” v\u00e0 “D\u00f2ng s\u1eefa m\u1eb9”, c\u00f3 t\u1ed5ng kinh ph\u00ed g\u1ea7n 1,1 t\u1ef7 \u0111\u1ed3ng do hai nh\u00e0 \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc Storbaekken v\u00e0 Ph\u1ea1m H\u1ed3ng (H\u1ed9i M\u1ef9 thu\u1eadt th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng) th\u1ef1c hi\u1ec7n. Nh\u00e0 \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc Storbaekken tr\u01b0\u1edbc l\u00fac r\u1eddi \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng \u0111\u00e3 g\u1eedi g\u1eafm nh\u1eefng l\u1eddi t\u00e2m huy\u1ebft: “G\u1ea7n 20 n\u0103m g\u1eafn b\u00f3 v\u1edbi th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1 bi\u1ec3n \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng, c\u1ea3m nh\u1eadn trong t\u00f4i \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng nh\u01b0 qu\u00ea h\u01b0\u01a1ng m\u00ecnh. M\u1ed7i t\u00e1c ph\u1ea9m t\u01b0\u1ee3ng m\u1ef9 thu\u1eadt t\u00f4i trao t\u1eb7ng th\u00e0nh ph\u1ed1, l\u00e0 t\u00f4i \u0111\u00e3 trao t\u1eb7ng c\u1ea3 tr\u00e1i tim m\u00ecnh. Qu\u1ef9 \u0110i\u00eau kh\u1eafc \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng \u0111\u00e3 tr\u1edf th\u00e0nh \u0111i\u1ec3m h\u1eb9n, l\u00e0 \u0111i\u0323a ch\u1ec9 giao l\u01b0u v\u0103n ho\u0301a, sa\u0301ng ta\u0301c ngh\u00ea\u0323 thu\u00e2\u0323t thu h\u00fat nhi\u1ec1u nh\u00e0 \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc qu\u1ed1c t\u1ebf \u0111\u1ebfn Vi\u1ec7t Nam. \u0110\u1ebfn nay, \u0111\u00e3 c\u00f3 62 nh\u00e0 \u0111i\u00eau kh\u1eafc t\u1eeb Th\u1ee5y \u0110i\u1ec3n, Na Uy, \u0110\u1ee9c, H\u00e0 Lan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, M\u1ef9, Ph\u00e1p, Israel, Anh\u2026 \u0111\u1ebfn tr\u1ef1c ti\u1ebfp l\u00e0m vi\u1ec7c t\u1ea1i Qu\u1ef9, tham gia s\u00e1ng t\u00e1c ngh\u1ec7 thu\u1eadt \u0111\u1ed3ng th\u1eddi t\u00ecm hi\u1ec3u v\u1ec1 v\u0103n h\u00f3a, con ng\u01b0\u1eddi \u0110\u00e0 N\u1eb5ng v\u00e0 \u0111\u1ea5t n\u01b0\u1edbc Vi\u1ec7t Nam. The artwork “Fantasy Simulating Travel” was created by the artists of Da Nang Sculpture Foundation, currently located in Norway.<\/p>

The “Sea Wave” art statue by sculptor Oyvin Storbaekken (Norway) placed in a solemn position on the coastal Vo Van Kiet route in Da Nang is a sculpture implemented with the heart of an artist, a Norwegian artist who especially loves Vietnam.<\/p>

The story behind that statue is also a long journey about spreading, inspiring creativity and bringing the image of Vietnam in general and Vietnamese sculpture in particular to introduce to the world.<\/p>

Sculptor Oyvin Storbaekken is the originator, founder and has been with Da Nang Sculpture Foundation for nearly 20 years. He is a Norwegian friend with a kind heart, especially loves Vietnam. He has chosen Da Nang to live and sculpt, gathering many famous sculptors in the world to Vietnam.<\/p>

“New breeze” for Da Nang sculpture<\/strong><\/p>

Da Nang Sculpture Foundation (established from inheriting the results of the previous Da Nang Sculpture Project sponsored by the Norwegian Government) is a story that spreads and elevates the value of Vietnamese sculpture with international friends. Derived from a special affection for Da Nang-Vietnam, with an artist’s vision when encountering the harmony in the place where the traditional stone carving village of Non Nuoc, the National Intangible Cultural Heritage is located, sculptor Storbaekken chose this city to make a journey of devotion, giving wings to Vietnamese sculpture art. He has lobbied the Norwegian Government and other organizations for funding (total value of VND 16.5 billion) to implement the Da Nang Sculpture Project (period 2003-2009), with the main purpose of training, fostering human resources for creativity and fine art stone processing, improving product quality in order to reach out to the world market.<\/p>

Inheriting these achievements, in 2009, after the end of the project, the Da Nang Sculpture Foundation was co-founded by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City and the Da Nang Fine Arts Association. This is the first non-profit art foundation in Vietnam working for the development of sculpture. The Foundation’s goal is to develop the sculpture art of Da Nang, promote cultural exchange activities of domestic and foreign sculpture, participate in social activities, rewarding activities of composing, researching and developing sculpture art.<\/p>

People’s Artist Huynh Van Hung, former Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City, said: The Da Nang Sculpture Project (now the Da Nang Sculpture Foundation) has brought many meaningful values \u200b\u200bto art sculpture. And the role of the sculptor Storbaekken is particularly important. He has brought a new breeze to Da Nang sculpture, spreading views on modern aesthetic values \u200b\u200bin the field of sculpture through opening many training courses for skilled carvers, some of them have became stone sculptors. He himself has also composed many works and offered to Da Nang city.<\/p>

From the very beginning, with the support from the Da Nang city government, up to now, the Da Nang Sculpture Foundation has brought a lot of value. A garden of sculptures was awarded to Da Nang by the Foundation after the 2006 international sculpture camp. In 2018, the Foundation continued to present to Da Nang city two art statues “Sea Wave” and “Mother’s milk”, with a total cost of nearly 1.1 billion dong by two sculptors Storbaekken and Pham Hong (Danang City Fine Arts Association). Sculptor Storbaekken, before leaving Da Nang, sent enthusiastic words: “Nearly 20 years attached to the coastal city, Da Nang feels like my hometown. I have given my heart to the city, I also hope more for the growth of the Da Nang Sculpture Foundaion, to have more valuable sculptures.”<\/p>

Spread wings for Vietnamese sculpture to the world<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

Da Nang Sculpture Foundation has become a rendezvous, an address for cultural exchange and artistic creation, attracting many international sculptors to Vietnam. Up to now, there have been 62 sculptors from Sweden, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, USA, France, Israel, UK… come directly to the Foundation and participate in composing art and at the same time learn about the culture and people of Da Nang and Vietnam. And nearly 100 artistic sculptures and religious and commercial sculptures processed and carved at the workshop of the Da Nang Sculpture Foundation have been displayed in public areas of Norway, England, Poland, USA, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Singapore, Malaysia…<\/p>

Ms. Phan Quynh Huong, Director of Da Nang Sculpture Foundation said: As a non-profit fund, we have had to overcome many difficulties in order to maintain operations and fulfill our mission of being a bridge and training carvers, creating an exchange address for sculptors. Currently, the Foundation continues to promote and expand service activities, creating a stable and long-term income; develop exchange and cooperation relations with sculptors and sculpture organizations in Vietnam and abroad. Through the production and processing of artworks for domestic and foreign sculptors, the Foundation’s team of carvers has been increasingly trained, improved skills, mastered advanced sculpting techniques in the world, capable of performing difficult works, reaching a high artistic level.<\/p>

Artist Mr. Van Sinh, Chairman of the Management Board of Da Nang Sculpture Foundation affirmed: With professional experience and successful cooperation in organizing the international sculpture camp in 2006, the Danang sculpture camp in 2010, currently, we are mobilizing funds to organize a Da Nang Sculpture Camp in order to prepare a source of good quality works to implement the Project of Developing Outdoor Sculpture System in Da Nang City to 2025, with a vision by 2030. We hope that the sketches from the camp will be selected by the People’s Committee of Da Nang City to be implemented into complete works in stone, displayed at planning public areas of the city. The Foundation will continue to be a cultural exchange venue, attracting more and more international sculptors to create and exchange knowledge. These art exchanges and cooperation activities will contribute to promoting the skills and artistic sculptures of Da Nang and the image of Da Nang and Vietnam to many countries around the world.
